The list of eligible candidates shall be displayed on College Notice Board and College Website (www.artcollegechandigarh@org.in) on 22.6.2010 Admit Card will be dispatched by the registered post to the eligible candidates only. No provisional admit cards shall be issued. The candidate shall be allowed to sit in the test only on the production of admit card. However, it will be candidate’s own responsibility to check the list of the eligible candidates displayed on the college Notice Board. Objection/discrepancies to the list, if any noticed by the candidate shall be considered latest by 24.6.2010
Candidates are required to reach the centre for aptitude test well before the commencement of the test on 29.6.2010 (for General Pool candidates) and 1.7.2010 (for U.T. Pool /Special Diploma candidates). If the admit card is not received by the candidates by 25.6.2010 it will be the responsibility of the candidate to contact the office for the issue of duplicate Admit Card. No admit Card will be issued on the spot on the day of the Aptitude Test.
Candidates fulfilling the prescribed qualification will have to appear for a common aptitude test for admission to be held in the college at 9.00 a.m. as per schedule given below: GENERAL POOL 29.6.2010 (Tuesday)
U.T. POOL/Special Diploma : 1.7.2010 (Thursday)
The aptitude test for B.F.A. courses will consist of the following:
Object Drawing:Drawing from given objects using graded pencils or charcoal on half imperial size paper for a duration of 2 hrs.of 65 marks and 75 marks for special dipolma.
Composition: Color Composition on a given theme from memory in Water/Pastel//Poster colours on half imperial size paper for a duration of 2 hrs.of 65
marks and 75 marks for special dipolma.
General Knowledge: Written paper related to art, design, architecture, visual and performing arts films, multimedia, advertising and communication for 0.30 hr.of 20 marks.
Note: One
good quality white drawing sheet of 1/2 imperial size will be provided
by the College. All other material like Drawing Board (1/2 imperial
size) colours should be brought by the candidates of their own while
coming for the Aptitude test.
Evaluations Criteria:
1. Basic Drawing and composition skills.
2. Handling of materials and three dimensional modeling.
3. Conceptualization, Visualization and Execution capabilities.
4. Awareness of and exposure to visual environment.
