Website launched

The college released its prospectus and launched its website on June 5, 2006. The prospectus was released by Sh. Aditya Prakash and Sh Ramesh Bhandari launched the website. The function was attended by the HOD, college principal, staff members and guests.

Art Exhibitions
The College of Art, since its inception organises its Annual Art Exhibition regularly. It is one of the big events of the college where works of art by students are put on display. Five awards for the works of outstanding aesthetic merits are given in the memory of prominent artists and art connoisseurs namely Amrita Sher-gill, S. L. Prasher, Sushil Sarkar, M. S. Randhawa and Sujan Singh. The exhibition also projects the nature of professional training given to the students in making them top professionals in the field of Applied Art, Graphics (Printmaking), Painting and Sculpture. Exhibition. is filled with academic and cultural activities and open to public for one week.

Art Workshop
In addition to the studios substantial workshops facilities are available in the college to impart the proper training programmes in various specializations. The experts from outside conduct these workshops in various specialization like Photography, Lithography, Silk Screen, Etching, Metal casting, Ceramics, Mural etc.

Convocation Ceremonies
All the BFA Graduates of the Bath of previous academic year are conferred their Degrees and Awards/Role of honor in the Convocation Ceremony that the college arranges in a grand manner. Parents and Guardians are also invited to grace the occasion and to interact with faculty and other such invitees A selected group of dignitaries honor us by accepting to grace the occasion with their presence in the ceremony. This is the important academic activity occurs between February and April every year.

Guest lectures
As an activity of continuous academic interest, eminent artists, historians, Art educationist in the city, and that dignitary are invited to visit the college and interact with students and faculty. There are frequent lectures/demonstrations/workshops and exhibitions being organized by the established fraternity, who also freely guide and encourage the students to get introduced to new techniques and materials.

Cultural Activities
The college with a view to encourage student’s participation in extra curricular cultural activities, provided facilities for the activities related to Music, Dance, Drama related to the northern culture of Country. College Cultural Committee is formed in the college, it helps to discover, develop, train and promote socio-cultural talent
